Lillet Champagne Cocktail

    Wine cocktails of all sorts prevailed in the ’70s, and many of them were transparent attempts to lower a drink’s alcohol level, often at the expense of flavor. Champagne and Lillet, however, is no compromise.

    In a chilled Champagne glass combine 1/2 cup Lillet with 3 ice cubes, fill the glass with chilled Champagne, and garnish the drink with a twist of orange peel. Makes 1 drink.
