Whatever else you set out, great smoked salmon will always draw a crowd. And like any good leading actor, it works well with all of the supporting players, from horseradish cream to egg salad.
- 1 cup chilled heavy cream
- 3 tablespoons bottled white horseradish
- 2 teaspoons Dijon mustard
- 1 lb sliced smoked salmon
-
Whisk cream with horseradish, mustard, and 1/4 tsp pepper until it is thick and holds soft peaks. Serve salmon with horseradish cream on the side.
Cooks’ note: Horseradish cream can be made 1 hour ahead and chilled. Stir before serving.
