This simple, two-ingredient blend yields a soft, powdery sugar perfect for sprinkling over desserts.
  • 1/3 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon potato starch
  • Special equipment:

    an electric coffee/spice grinder
  • Grind sugar and potato starch together in grinder until powdery.
Cooks’ note: Sugar keeps 1 month in an airtight container at room temperature.
