Asian Peanut Popcorn
Makes2 1/2 quarts

- 3 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 3 tablespoons smooth peanut butter
- 2 teaspoons soy sauce
- 1 small garlic clove, forced through a garlic press
- 2 1/2 qts unsalted popped plain popcorn

In a small saucepan melt the butter with the peanut butter, the soy sauce, and the garlic over moderately low hear, stirring until the mixture is smooth.

Drizzle the mixture over the popcorn in a large baking pan, tossing it well.

Sprinkle the popcorn with salt if desired and bake it in a preheated 300ºF oven, stirring once or a twice, for 10 to 15 minutes, or until it is crisp.
