- 1 canned chipotle chile in adobo, minced
- 1/2 stick (1/4 cup) unsalted butter, softened
- 1/8 teaspoon salt

Stir together chipotle chile, butter, and salt until combined.
Cooks' note: Butter keeps, covered and chilled, 1 week.
- Serving suggestion: Reheat a baked sweet potato in a microwave for 1 to 2 minutes at high power, then make a slit down middle of potato and add 1 tablespoon chipotle butter.
