Peggy Knickerbocker, the author of The Ferry Plaza Farmers’ Market Cookbook (Chronicle Books, 2006), reps Gourmet in the Bay Area. She won a James Beard Award in 2006 for her book Simple Soirees (Stewart, Tabori and Chang, 2005) and she sits on the boards of the Chez Panisse Foundation and the Center for Urban Education about Sustainable Agriculture, which runs San Francisco’s Ferry Plaza Farmers’ Market (a.k.a. Peggy’s second home).
