Ann writes for us on anything that strikes her fancy, even if we ask her not to. Her most recent novel, Bel Canto (HarperCollins, 2001), won the PEN/Faulkner Award and the Orange Prize and was a finalist for the National Book Critics Circle Award. She lives in Nashville and spends far too much time doting on her dog Rose (even brushes her teeth).
