Key Notes: Soho All Suites,
Buenos Aires

Soho All Suites

The chic boutique hotel in Buenos Aires' hippest neighborhood.

In the heart of the Palermo Soho, and on the neighborhood's most happening street, Soho All Suites offers all the comforts of home—if your home happens to be immaculate, understatedly chic, and sleekly modern.

WHAT'S THE BIG WOW?
You won't believe what can be had for $150 per night. Beautifully refinished parquet floors, bedrooms painted in soothing hues, and spotless, brand-spanking new bathrooms, complete with tiny tiles and waterfall shower heads, for starters. Every suite boasts an adorable kitchenette with streamlined granite countertops and a bar with stools, so you can perch and pretend you live here whenever you raid the minibar. Bump up to $200 a night to add a wraparound balcony and a writing desk in the bedroom; $290 a night gets you a suite big enough for a family, with two bedrooms plus a full bathroom and another half-bath. Breakfast in the lobby is very pleasant—count on dulce de leche withdrawal when you return to your daily bowl of shredded wheat in the States—and everyone who works here is young, good-looking, and exceedingly friendly.

LIKED BEST:
The green design was appealing—motion sensors and your key card turn lights on and off—but mostly, I liked that the place is just modern enough to make you feel hip, but not so much that you feel like a fashion victim.

LIKED LEAST:
There's a dearth of side tables here. Only one side of the bed is outfitted with a nightstand, so my husband and I raced each other every evening to be the first in bed to claim it.

WHO SHOULD STAY THERE?
Thirty- to forty-somethings who dream of a night at the Faena but are on a much tighter budget; shopaholics who need a convenient location for dropping off parcels and heading out for more.

WOULD YOU GO BACK?
In a heartbeat. I have fantasies of selling my Brooklyn apartment and moving in permanently.
